Stratos FS4000e
The baby of the Stratos range, this new 4000-sized reel has been designed for the general feeder angler who requires a more compact, yet equally as powerful reel for their fishing.
The styling of the reel is similar to its bigger brothers – the 7000 and 10000 reels – and it still retains the quality anglers have come to expect from the Fox Stratos range. It’s silky smooth on the retrieve, with loads of power for winding in big carp, tench and barbel on lakes or rivers.
It has the Fox Freespool system which can be adjusted to suit the amount of tension you want to offer. It also has a front clutch that allows minute adjustments to allow the angler to tire fish quicker than ever before. It has a thick aluminium bail arm that is super strong.
The reel is supplied with a single handle and spare double handle. It comes with a standard metal spool, plus a spare metal shallow spool and spare standard graphite spool to offer amazing value for money. It also has two spool reducers should you want to use thin lines that doesn’t require the need for a spool as deep.
In testing we’ve had Bob Nudd hauling out 100lb bags of bream in Ireland, Mark Pollard catching 200lb nets of hard fighting carp and Derek Willan on fast flowing rivers catching super powerful double figure bream. In all instances the Stratos 4000 out-performed all reels these anglers had ever used. It really is that good!
