An introduction to the Fox Arma Point range

The Fox Arma Point range consists of six individual patterns; all designed by Fox's team of leading carp consultants, to suit a variety of rig presentations and hookbait options.

There are six different patterns of hook in the Fox Arma Point range, a pattern to cover every possible carp fishing situation. All Arma Point hooks are available in barbed or barbless versions; and are available in 'odd number' sizes in the barbed range. This ensures you can find the exact sized hook to suit your fishing!

SSC - Short Shank Curved

According to Fox carp consultant Steve Spurgeon, the SSC is 'the most versatile hook pattern available to the specialist angler'.

The SSC has a highly effective curved, short shank, which is extremely strong, and produces phenomenal hook holds to ensure every fish you hook ends up in your landing net. It is an excellent pattern for making advanced rigs to deal with highly pressured fish on commercial carp waters. It's so versatile, the SSC can be used in conjunction with just about any possible carp rig.

LS - Long Shank

The LS pattern is the classic long shank pattern of the range, perfect for presenting bottom baits, line aligners, knotless knots and anti-eject rigs. Unlike other long shank patterns, the point of the LS is marginally inclined to the shank to increase grip which improves your hook hold. This pattern is most effective when used in snowman, sliding 'D', and blowback rig presentations.

SSSP - Short Shank Straight Point

The SSSP features a short shank, wipe gape and a straight point that provides instant penetration. It's versatile enough for use with all boilie, particle, pellet and natural baits. The smaller sizes provide the perfect hook for floater fishing, zig rigs and specialist fishing.

LSC - Long Shank Curved

The LSC with its long curved shank, down-turned eye and straight point ensures fast and effective hooking as soon as the hooklink is tightened. Perfect for all anti-eject presentations, this hook is ideal for both pop-up and bottom baits, as well as particle fishing where carp are 'grazing' rather than picking up large food items. This pattern is a very aggressive hooker, therefore making it perfect for use with 360 degree rigs and Snowman Blowback rigs.

SR - Stiff Rigger

The SR pattern features a short shank, wide gape and an out turned eye. It is best suited to various pop-up presentations, providing extremely strong and consistently reliable hook holds. It is a very versatile hook pattern, which also makes it ideal for creating stiff, hinge and chod rigs.

SSBP - Short Shank Beaked Point

The SSBP is an ultra reliable pattern, which is suitable for just about any type of rig. The in-turned point makes it ideal for use over harsh gravel bars, whilst the short shank and wide gape create solid hook holds. A stepped up wire gauge makes the SSBP perfect for demanding situations such as heavy weed and snag fishing.
